Cosmic Punishment; May 20 2026
Okay. We’re steering this ship towards a better, healthier outlook. My marks are high in classes so far – 91% and 93%! – and I’ve submitted all my work on time. Plus, I went on to the next round of the NYCMidnight micro fiction contest! I sent on my second story last weekend. I’m kind of desperately hoping it’s well received.
Things aren’t… great, otherwise, though. My government benefits are going to be reviewed in July to gauge whether or not my school’s financial assistance overlapped. In the meantime, I’m still getting a huge chunk less per month, and…
I don’t know what more to do, honestly. I followed all the right channels and I still feel like I’m being punished for being disabled. It’s not a great feeling.
This is the last time I’ll link y’all to my GoFundMe – if you can spare anything at all, it’s hugely appreciated. In the meantime, I’m going to try to earn money the only way I currently can:
Selling books.
If you’re in the GTA this weekend (May 23rd, specifically!) why not come check out the Toronto Dark Arts Market? They’re holding a bookish event and there’ll be a lot of great vendors present, myself included. I’m going to be selling some of the last physical copies of The Other Face of Sympathy, as well as some fun little swag items – pins, stickers, temporary tattoos. If you buy a book, you even get to choose a free swag item!
Thank you to everyone who’s supported me through All This Stuff. You’re fantastic people.
